About Project California

In California, people live the future today.  We explore beyond borders.  We have always thrived on the frontier.  California’s greatness lies in these qualities, rooted in its people’s initiative, innovation, invention and compassion.

As we strive to keep California a place where families flourish, businesses prosper and the environment thrives, we must draw on that greatness.  We must rediscover the frontier.

California faces daunting challenges: returning our public education system to preeminence; protecting working families’ quality of life and safety; ensuring that all residents can obtain affordable, quality health care; preserving our environment and cherished natural resources; rethinking how we plan for our communities’ growth; dealing with a decaying infrastructure; and meeting the needs of a growing and changing population.

California will not meet its challenges if political leaders and policymakers continue to careen from one policy debate to the next in a disconnected effort to solve problem fragments instead of the problems themselves.  It cannot embrace the future by returning to the ways and means of the past.  We must find and build our future on the frontier.

Project California has organized itself as a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Tax exempt status is pending.
